Question: What is your special pricing?

Answer: We have two price categories: Youth and Adult.  Youth includes kids' books (picture), as well as chapter books (through YA).  Adult is everything else.  

In each category there are small books (under six ounces), medium books (between six ounces and 2 pounds), and large (over two pounds, or exceptionally wide and/or long).

Here's a quick rundown:

YOUTH
Small: $6
Medium: $8
Large: $12

ADULT
Small: $7
Medium: $10
Large: $18

Question: So every book is the same price, by weight, in each of the two categories?

Answer: You got it!

Question: Um, why?

Answer: We wanted to make it easy to buy books, and make great books more financially accessible, no matter their regular market value.  We condensed kids' and YA books into Youth because these books generally cost less than adult books in the regular market than books published for adults.  We have classified them by weight because the heavier the book, the higher cost more to store, handle, and ship; also, they just cost more to produce, and therefore to find at reasonable prices (for us to pass on to you).

Most Youth books will be small and medium, but larger reference books or compendiums can weigh more.  Most Adult books will be medium (trade paperback size, hardback) or large (oversize books).  You'll be able to see this continuity across our listings.

Question: Do you offer discounts to this special pricing?

Answer: YES!  In two ways: one, is we sometimes come across wonderful books that are not in "good" condition.  We still offer them for sale, but at a noted discount.  The other is our automatic discount of 10% off purchases of five books or more.  Always.  Our sets and packs, too, are always discounted.

Question: Are you going to stick to this pricing?

Answer: We are a work in progress, and since our ideas are different, we will check in with you, dear customer, and review our pricing and policies regularly to see where we can make them more streamlined and beneficial.  Feel free to let us know what you think!
